If you are a lover of plants, stop by Mission Hills Nursery on Fort Stockton Drive. This nursery is one of the oldest in the city and features a wide array of perennials, roses, house plants, and more.

One of the biggest parks in San Diego, Presidio Park is just outside Mission Hills and is home to historical sites, cultural museums, and plenty of outdoor space for picnics and people-watching. The wide spaces and rolling hills make this an amazing spot for walks and taking in some scenic views.

The schools in the Mission Hills neighborhood are served by the San Diego Unified School District. Florence Elementary is one of the main elementary schools, though Ulysses S. Grant Elementary School serves kindergarten through eighth grade. While there are no public high schools in Mission Hills, most students attend Point Loma High School or San Diego High School.
