Del Mar is also home to stunning beaches, like the River Mouth and Del Mar City Beach, where you can surf, walk, people watch, or take in the sun. If you are a hiker, head to Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve, which covers over 4,000 acres and offers an amazing population of flora and fauna.

If you want to sate your appetite, Del Mar has no end of amazing dining experiences for all tastes. Head to Addison, San Diego's only five-star, five-diamond restaurant. Chef William Bradley can cook you amazing dishes made using fresh, local ingredients and classic French techniques. For fresh seafood, visit the Brigantine Del Mar, which also happens to offer amazing views of the Fairgrounds and the sea. Walk down the historic Village of Del Mar for a variety of boutique shops and bistro-style eateries surrounded by old world charm.

Schools in Del Mar

The city features eight schools served by the Del Mar Union School District. All eight of these schools offer education for kindergarten through 8th grade. Residents can attend high schools in surrounding areas, usually served by the San Dieguito Union High School District.

Home Values in Del Mar
